This is a 536 acre operation located in North Eastern Maryland very close to the Delaware state line. Our trucks travel as far as Wisconsin to Alabama and all points east. In essence, MOON covers the Midwest, New England and the Mid Atlantic horticultural markets. The nursery contains approximately 365 green houses, each 450 feet long.
In addition to the extensive potted operation, MOON has hundreds of acres of numerous tree plantings from seedlings to 8” product. They nursery has five good producing wells and, additionally, there are two ponds that contribute to the operation’s irrigation. Of the total 536 acres, none are in the 100-year floodplain.
The main building contains approximately 15,500 square feet, accommodating areas for administration, sales, accounting and a shopping area. Approximately 475 of the total is irrigated.
A portion of the MOON property is adjacent to and part of the largest protected Agricultural Preservation area on Maryland’s Eastern Shore.
